Tuco is a large, strong, and confident
male with personality to spare. There is nothing this
dog won’t tackle. Very self-assured, Tuco started
taking on the world as soon as we had him home. On day
two he followed me around the backyard as I mowed the
lawn, just steps away. He breezed through obedience training
and began watching on the protection field at 16 weeks
old. At twenty weeks, without any teeth mind you, he won
his first puppy sleeve. He has since completed basic protection
and now stalks our home as a four legged security system.
He
also shares our lives with great caring and tenderness.
He is the first to shower his friends with lavish, sometimes
drooley affection. This dog is content to lay his head
in your lap and enjoy your company in gentle, snoring,
Corso fashion. His play can sometimes be ruff but, he
is always willing to do it and is guaranteed to put a
smile on your face with his endless enthusiasm.
Tuco,
it seems, has movie star style charisma. People flock
to him in public like paparazzi! Taking him to Home Depot
for a five minute paintbrush purchase is never such a
timely matter. It seems everyone in the store will throng
to him and fawn over his apparent majesty. Before we know
it, we are giving a Tuco The Cane Corso seminar! For a
dog as intimidating looking as he is, to get the amount
of physical attention that he does, is surreal. For instance,
we have had young couples push their newborns’ strollers
up to meet him, without even asking if he’s all
right! And laugh when he sticks his big mug into the carriage
and licks the little tike all wet! Now this isn’t
behavior I would condone for people but, it does speak
of the confidence and stability which he exudes.
Tuco
is an AWESOME, AWESOME dog!!!
